Hi there! I’m Greg Martinelli and I help agribusiness sales professionals improve their confidence and territory management skills, so they can go from being a vendor to a Trusted Advisor to the farmers they work with.
For the last 30 years, I spent my career working in the agricultural sales industry. I learned how to go from peddler to partner and from vendor, to trusted advisor, but it wasn’t always this way. When I first started working as a sales professional, I struggled to figure out what worked and what didn’t. I lacked the confidence to close a sale or to grow my territory. I realized that what I was doing at that point in my career wasn’t working and I needed a change. As I continued selling, I started looking at things a little differently. Instead of being pushy or focusing so much on landing the sale, I started building relationships with my customers. I focused on truly understanding their business first, to see how I could help them. This different approach helped me gain confidence, and ultimately, I saw a huge difference in sales. More importantly, I was building trust in me and my company within the industry. That trust became brand recognition, which built successful customer relationships and a profitable business.
After leaving a successful and fulfilling career in the sales industry, I decided to take what I learned over the last 30 years and teach it to other sales professionals so they don’t have to make the same mistakes I did. With over three decades in agribusiness, I understand what sales professionals are going through. They need guidance, support, and a mentor that’s by their side as they continue in their sales journey.
Now, I use what I’ve learned to create highly effective sales training specifically for agriculture sales professionals.
